WRESZCIE SUKCES!
Milo mi poinformowac, ze William Koziatek z sukcesem przeprowadzil
pierwsza probe w locie rakiety M2K-11 bedacej wykonana w skali 90% kopia
polskiej rakiety Meteor-2K.
Nie trzeba Mu bylo stawiac obiadu u Wierzynka, dawac 20kzl, ani wkladac
w projekt 100 osobolat pracy. Bardzo Mu zalezalo - wiec zrobil rakiete i
wystrzelil!
Proba w locie miala na celu sprawdzenie startu, wlasnosci lotnych,
stabilnosci lotu oraz odzyskiwania silnika i glowicy. Dokonana zostala
osiagnie 100km! :))))
pozdrawiam wszystkich swiatecznie!

Oto relacja Williama Koziatka:
----------------------
Hello Wiktor,
I am happy to tell you the first flight of M-2K 11
was a success. The flight was at the Michigan Team-1
launch at a potato farm in Manchester, Michigan.
The conditions were perfect for a December day in
Michigan, 40 degrees F, and the winds were 0-3 m.p.h.
M-2K 11 used a solid-fuel 8000 n.s. motor with a 2.5
second burn. Stability was about 1.5 diameters. M-1
boosters were not used, but will be for the next
flight in the Spring. M-2K 11 weighed 105 lbs on the
launch pad, and flew to 3000 ft. The only glitch was
that the on-board video camera was damaged during
preparation. The transmitter for the video camera
remained intact, and the camera will be replaced
before the next flight. Flight was nearly perfect with
very little weather-cocking.
Recovery was as planned. The rocket separated at
apogee, and, as programmed, the main parachute
deployed at 1300 ft. The M-2K nose came down under
it's own parachute. I also have been certified the
highest level of amateur rocketry as a result of this
flight.
I have some work remaining with the M-1 boosters,
as well as building a much larger launch rail before
the next launch. I will keep you posted.
I hope you are well,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your
family,
William Koziatek
